EDUARDO DE FARIA & FILHO, LDA \u2013 METAL\u00daRGICA A\u00c7OREANA \u2013 is the current name of a company with a long tradition and experience in the industrial environment of the island of S. Miguel. It was registered with its present name in 1982 by Eduardo Faria and his eldest son Francisco Faria.<\/p>\n
He started his activity as a tinsmith in 1917 by his father, Mr. Jaime de Faria and was then called \u201cLatoaria A\u00e7oreana\u201d, the name by which it is still popularly known and designated, at Rua da Miseric\u00f3rdia, 46 in Ponta Delgada, where it still exists today.<\/p>\n
In 1975, the first installations in Arrifes were inaugurated. The strong industrial and civil construction development led Eduardo Faria to the development of new techniques, in order to correspond to the demands of the market. The assembly of thermal insulation, the construction of the well-known \u201cAzorean Tippers\u201d was the springboard for the growth of the activity, leader in the heavy metalwork market. It expands into other areas: requalification of LPG bottles, production and assembly of metallic structures for the construction of industrial and commercial pavilions and more recently the creation of 2 new companies belonging to the Group, Man S. Miguel and Vecoa\u00e7ores, dedicated to the commercialization of and assistance of goods vehicles for the Autonomous Region of the Azores, of the famous brands \u201cMAN\u201d and \u201cIVECO\u201d.<\/p>\n
More than 75 years after its foundation (Latoaria A\u00e7oreana) it can be seen that the Eduardo Faria & Filho Group is one of the most successful and well-known SME’s companies in the Autonomous Region of the Azores and attesting to this are numerous awards with which it has been awarded. throughout its existence. In 2009, Eduardo de Faria died, and his children, who accompanied him in the evolution of the company, will continue the work developed until that moment.<\/p>\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n
